Story Behind Econexa
There are places where time moves differently. Where the jungle holds secrets 2,300 years old and communities resist with a strength that defies all logic.
This is the Urabá Chocoano, where the Gulf splits in two, revealing the most crystalline waters on the continent. And this is where my story begins.
I came into the world guided by a partera's hands, deep in that jungle. My first years were lived among its rivers, its sounds, and its ancient rhythms. until conflict tore us from it. Displaced in my early years by Colombia's internal war, that rupture became a mark that shaped the rest of my life.
Son of a farmer who was both father and mother to me, I grew up working in the fields and finding refuge in books. School saved me. Curiosity transformed me.
I studied, traveled, and searched for answers beyond my territory. But in 2004, when I returned, something changed forever. I rediscovered the nature I had left behind and understood my mission: to take Colombia to the world, not from pain, but from the unstoppable beauty that was always there.
This is not a story of victimization. It's a story of transformation. And it can be yours too.
